Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Citrate, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Citrate LLC.

2. The platform

Citrate is a marketplace where designers ("Creators") can list 3D print files for sale or for free, and users ("Buyers") can browse, purchase, and download those files. Citrate is not a party to transactions between Creators and Buyers except as a payment processor and platform operator.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Creator terms

As a Creator, you agree that:

• You own or have the rights to sell any file you list on Citrate
• Your files do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property, including copyrighted characters, trademarked designs, or patented objects
• Your files do not facilitate illegal activity or contain harmful, offensive, or adult content
• You grant Citrate a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your files through the platform
• Citrate retains 20% of each sale as a platform fee; you receive 80%
• Payouts are subject to Citrate's payout schedule and Stripe's terms

5. Buyer terms

As a Buyer, you agree that:

• Files you purchase are for personal, non-commercial use unless the listing explicitly states otherwise
• You may not redistribute, resell, or share downloaded files with others
• All sales are final; refunds are issued at Citrate's discretion in cases of technical failure or misrepresentation
• You are responsible for ensuring files are compatible with your printer and use case

6. Prohibited content

You may not list or upload files that:

• Infringe on intellectual property rights (e.g. Disney, Marvel, Nintendo characters, branded logos)
• Are designed to function as weapons or weapon components
• Contain adult, explicit, or pornographic content
• Depict or promote violence, hate, or illegal activity
• Are malicious in nature (e.g. designed to damage printers or deceive buyers)

7. Payments and fees

Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Citrate takes a 20% platform fee on each paid transaction. Creators receive 80% of the sale price. Citrate is not responsible for Stripe outages or payment failures.

8. Intellectual property

Citrate's branding, logo, code, and design are the property of Citrate LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without permission. Content you upload remains yours — see our Privacy Policy for details on the license you grant Citrate to host your content.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Citrate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that files available for download will be free from defects or suitable for your intended use.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Citrate LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to failed prints, lost data, or lost profits.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings or by emailing hello@citrate.app.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Citrate after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes by email or site notice.
